Now I like to think that I don't drop in the all out pessimist nor happy clapper type camps, more a realistic take each game on its own merit type. For me it comes down to did we hurt/unduly worry the opposition (not score necessarily because you can play well and just be really unlucky), and I'm afraid the answer is no. Most teams can play pleasing football in positions where it doesn't matter its when the opposition back off you and then challenge you to do it in key areas that matters and to be honest we look clueless be it open play or dead ball situations. You can argue all you like about low crowds but if the team don't generate some excitement then folk won't come. I've seen lack of commitment mentioned but I don't think thats so I think that comes because most of us remember reds teams that near the end of games where we have been losing have gone at it hell for leather and chucked everything but the kitchen sink at the opposition(couldn't fit any more cliches in there!) but you surely know what I mean, and if you couple that with the fact that if we go a goal down its seemingly game over its hardly any wonder people react in a negative way, I mean its not like we are just not scoring we are not looking like scoring and when we present goals to the opposition in the way we do thats us pretty much screwed
We saw their 1st ten minutes pressure out, took the game to them without really causing them a scare - then they scored. End of game. Slight improvement when JO'B and Reuben gave us width and drove at their defence, but the game was over when Beckford's header hit the net. The header that showed imho why Wiseman isn't a centre half in a back 4. he'd be a good sweeper.
I'm my opinion the subs didn't improve the team at at all. We need more than just a key to start unlocking doors at present.
