this , drowning tragedy,reminds me of

my time in Hong Kong
well in the new territories at Tailam
it was a sunday after noon
a georgeous sunny day
all we had to do was a 5 min walk and we are in the south China sea
well me i hated water
but i could not resist
so i went down
with the lads
i found a nice puddle to my feet in
as i sat watching the lads frolicking about
when i noticed two of them making their way to wards me
the lads had been saying come on yorky
you wont drown
get stuffed i answered back
these two lads dis appeared for a min
when suddenly they Jumped me
the pair of them
i said you barstewards ff off
at that i turned and ran
thes two chased me over the sand
one of them the regimental heavy weight champ
Corporal Tommy Nutter a geordie
the other the Middle weight champ
george seaman from Portsmout
but iwas the right winger for the same regiment
they could not catch me
and i still hat water


did i tell you of my time intraining
at aldershot
we had ,to do swimming as a pt subject
on this day we were marching to the baths at Aldershot
when i remebered i had forgot my swimming trunks

never mind Yorky they said you will be ok with us
so i went in the shallow end
i hated it

then our time was up

and the next group entered the Baths

the ATS WOMEN

there they were at the side waiting
now what did my mates do
they went and told the girls
look out for Yorky he has no trunks on

well they waited and watched

i got out,and they weren disappointed
