I woudn't mind so much if we were blooding our youngsters and giving them experience and improving our squad as a whole but all this time and patches of bad results we are getting is effectively just going down the shitter because a large number of them are not our players. So say January comes or then end of the season - they go back to their parent clubs and we have the likes of Digby and Bree no further forward because they have been sat rotting in the reserves and on the bench.

If we were doing this with OUR players it would be something we could all get behind. As it stands we are building nothing apart from Johnson's hopes that Everton sell Stones so we can buy Pearson & Co.

So we are just going to remain stagnant and forever "in transition".

If we are going to do this lets do it with our players.

Agree with most of that. Although wabara does look decent at rb so can see why bree isn't getting much of a look in.

I do dislike the phrase "in transition" in a football context though. Nearly always the first excuse when a team/manager is performing poorly despite having had an entire summer and more to get things right.

I was saying the exact same in the summer. I have no interest in the long term development of Pearson, Crowley, Wilkinson & Harris.

I wanted to see some experience come in to help develop Bree, Smith, Digby & even a lot of our signed players who are still only young, Scowen, Hourihane, Winnall, Mawson, Roberts & Davies.
