Let me firstly say that this decision has upset me as much as the time I heard that Trevor Aylott was leaving us, but is not entirely unexpected . A month or so before the end of the season I went to 'An evening with Gordon and Patrick' at Darfield Cricket club, where they said the same things as have been said this week. They basically inferred that Ritchie was not signing players that they believed were required to (at that time) attain promotion to the championship. They (as we did at the time) thought that we had the players to be pushing for an automatic place rather than having to go through the playoffs. There were rumblings of discontent at this time and I genuinely believe that Andy Ritchie would not have been our manager this season if we had not achieved promotion via the play offs. Yet again we find ourselves in the same old position of having to find new management etc in time o save our season. AR has brought a young team into the championship and played some of the best football we have seen in years - but yet we still concede 2 goals per game and have dried up on the Nardiello front. I am trully exasperated by it all and await to see what transpires next. Thanks AR for all you have done, Cardiff and the playoffs were amazing and you have left BFC a better place for your tenure.</p>
