    That's why it's actually climate change - which leads to more extremes of weather

    I don't think we should apportion any blame on alleged global warming. It's cold and a little snowy because of the weather system we are currently in. Winds and air coming directly down from the arctic (where it's cold brr). We could just as easily be having southerly winds bringing warm air and decent temps: British weather is a lottery as a consequence of our geographical location. Further i do believe a Derbyshire county cricket match (at Buxton) was snowed off in June in the mid 70s.

    It's climate change, not global warming.

    Besides, snow in April is not uncommon, statistically more likely than it happening at Christmas.

    I retuned home from France for a break at Whitsun in 1977 (one of the hottest summers on record) and as the train passed through the Midlands it was snowing.
