Get a life! It wasn't that long since Tommy caused an uproar by talking about 'real fans'. It was nonsense then and it's nonsense now. All these season ticket holding super fans, who've been to lots of away games, etc, for the past few years might want to consider whether these so-called part-timers may have followed the reds in exactly the same way for far longer. Just because they don't hold a season ticket now doesn't necessarily make them any less passionate about supporting the club(and as the ground is over half empty most weeks they don't really need a season ticket, and that's before they take other things into consideration, like how far away they live, whether they can afford to go to the game, whether they have other commitments, etc). It's simply a case of one-upmanship, and one-upmanship is downright pathetic. If it makes you feel better choose one of these. I'm more of a fan than you because: * I've been a season ticket holder since 1973 * I've been to 96 away games this season * I travel 800 miles just to get to Oakwell * I remember Neil Redfearn/Ronnie Glavin/Harry Tuffnell * I say so Do you really think you're not going to be able to get a ticket cos of the part-timers? Or is it just that when the ground's full for a change, which is what we all want isn't it, you want to sit there feeling superior, for whatever reason, rather than concentrating on cheering the reds. Just a bunch of kids with nothing better to do than try to make yourself sound important. When this has all died down you can go back to your "I'm a bigger arctic monkeys fan than you, because..."
Well I went to school with Tufnell's Dad, and I live on the Moon so every home game I travel 500,000 miles, without a spaceship mind you, so that makes me the best-ist ner !!!
I went to see the Reds when they played in Finland... ... beat that! ff Seriously though, what an excellent post, I think it could win the prestigious PotD* award. * Post of the Day
Part-time poster. I've won more Blog awards than you, so I'm great and you're not and everyone should listen to me. That's how it works. Seriously though, well said.
what i love about all this is the few who say " cos i went to huddersfield league game i should get a ticket for play off away " proper makes me laugh anyway....
