Enjoyed the previous offerings from the This is England cast and looked forward to the 88' version. Words cannot do justice to some of the acting especially Vicky McClure as Lol. thought she was good before but proved in this we have a new top actress. The only negative in my mind was how they've developed Woody missed a trick with him but now Lol and Woody are back together bring on the next!
Just realised I forgot to hit submit on my previous post. Oops. Basically I agree 100%, think the whole series has been great, loved the film, loved '86, and now '88. Great acting, Lol especially, with everything she's gone through as a character, Vicky McClure has done a fantastic job. All this said, I'd expect nothing less from Shane Meadows, he's a very talented guy. Loved his films too, especially Dead Man's Shoes (which I think I was recommended on here 5/6 years ago!)
i must have watched a different programe as i thought it was a pile of sh!te, thought the acting was shocking, story line was crap, main actors (young lad, the girl who tried to commit suicude) cant act to save there lives, even the bloke who payed eli dingle just kept going over the top all the time, i was glad it finished
Absoltuely awesome Brilliant writing, brilliant soundtrack, brilliant acting. The scene in the doctors waiting room was completely captivating. So dark but so funny at times too. Quality.
