    Unfortunately wouldnt suprise me we have some backwards lovely people who follow us. Be a shame if it was though the blokes done and still done loads for this club and town his son plays in the accademy.

    Having a Barnsley accent does not mean you follow Barnsley FC. You're much more likely not to. Population of Barnsley is 244,000. We get 10,000 in at Oakwell.

    I wouldn't argue for a second that we don't have racists who follow the club. We do. I would argue that most racists tend to be hypocritical. The vast majority of Barnsley fans, even the dumb racists, have some affinity with Bruce.

    Depressing as it is, you're probably right here Jay.

    Doubt the horrible person is an actual BFC fan, how could they be if they're willing to do this, but the Venn diagram of racist/from Barnsley/BFC fan/likes Bruce Dyer would be an interesting one.

    I was a huge fan of Linford Christie when racism was common place. And boy did he get it. And then he won the Olympics and the World Championships and the Venn Diagram of Racist/Patriot/Linford Christie fan encompassed millions. Until he started getting beat of course.

    So if some completely innocent person had their phone used without them having any idea - who could then get threatening phone call calls or god knows what else - your response is ‘fk em’?

    I was only a young un when he was winning things, but I don't doubt what you're saying.

    Heard all sorts of racist crap being shouted at players at matches, even ours sometimes, home and away.

    Think the nadir was fans kicking off at (mostly black) staff at QPR away cos they weren't pulling pints/serving pies quick enough. That was pretty grim. Bit different to nice days out at Wembley with Oxford, opens your eyes a bit.
