unbelievable isnt it how normal fans can see its just not right. Milner is a ****ing ale house player. welbeck is ok but young carroll is better target man with rooney playing off him, ashley young has had a **** tournement. defence looks ok but, 1 goal and we are out.

 

Rooney starting was such a mistake. He hasn't played a game for weeks and it shows. Should have been on the bench then bring him on fired up for the last 20. Carroll would have brought so much more. Echo everyone else on Milner; utterly baffling why he keeps on getting picked.

 

hodgsons comment sums it up, milner offers more protection, more negative play. the best teams in the world ie spain, germany and portugal, brazil and argies are expansive, go for it and attack the ****** off them. and its good to watch. this is not

The beautiful game has turned into the boring game and I blame Spain. They were successful with a style of football which suits the Latin player, but which has no place in the higher tempo, northern latitude game. In spite of this keep ball has been adopted by the England coach who values winning over entertaining, and who clearly cannot see 10 players in white struggling to pass the ball 10 yards to a team mate. I hardly think that English crowds are going to be happy watching two banks of four from both sides and nobody getting out of shape, few chance, little penalty box excitement and 1-0 wins/losses. The sooner we get back to what made football the game that is it in northern latitudes, the better. England had a break late in the second half which came to nothing at the edge of the Ukraine penalty box. As the cameras panned away, there were two banks of four at the edge of the England penalty box. Boring.

 

England carnt win with the public in this country we attack we loose its as simple as that walcott carnt defend and carnt offer protection to Johnson like Milner can as Roy is playing Johnson more attacking and milner to cover if we had a walcott/the ox wed get destroyed down that flank we dont have that problem on the other side as we have one of the best defending full backs in the world ie cole thats why we can have a attacking player like young hope that clears the milner situation (kind of)
