Ok i dont post much on here as i like to read everyones views and then think things over and i have been doing a lot of thinking lately. I have been watching the reds now for nearly 20 years and had a season ticket for around 14-15 of these, but this is gunna be my last year if we dont sort this sh*t out quick. I used to be a proud man when people asked me which footy team i supported but now there is a sence of embaressment when i tell them. I aint no glory fan who only oes when we are winning i assure you but i am afraid theres only so much i can take and mr shepperd if you read this "Thankyou for sorting out the finances, but thankyou for destroying my faith in BFC" I have not seem this type of atmosphere down at oakwell for years ...everyones down we should have been up for it this year ...we should have been bouncing the roof off oakwell instead its like a morgue. Anyhow rant over just though i would express my views...just as a last note reg sacking ritchie at the time i was 50/50 ....i accepted the decision if we had brought in an experienced man to take the club forward however have we done this ??...i think not
Well said mate Just one issue, I will always be proud be to be a BFC Fan. No matter how bad it gets or how bad it is run. How crap our manager is or anything. Ill always be there too, id go watch them on a park if thats where they were playing. But apart from that agree with everything you said.
Dont get me wrong i am proud to be a barnsley fan and imo i have been very privlidged...i mean there wount be many fans that can say they have seen 2 promotions ...a trip to wembley...a trip to cardiff...knocking man utd out of the fa cup beating liverpool at anfield etc etc so many great memorys(i get goosebumps just typing this)but and its a big but i feel betrayed! Dont know what we can do to stop the fall either maybe i have just been spoilt i dont know ....at a loss and have no answers either. IMO there was an answer and a way forward, but that is when we did'nt have davey as manager and i aint blaming him for one minute because if i got offered the job tommorrow i would take it i cant blame him for that. MR shepperd made 1 mistake imo NOT APPOINTING A PROVEN MANAGER... i would have accepted relegation with a proven manager in charge none of us could have argued with that. I am sure davey will make a great manager and is prob a top bloke however fed to the lions comes to mind
