Opole in the Silesian region of Poland. Only saw the last few minutes when the gates were open - just wandered in. They used to be a top division side but now play in front of a thousand or two

    Hm, as you say!

That "posh" side in shot was built when they were living the dream. The rest of it....think Halifax Town 1970s, then deduct some.

Just posted this to illustrate that our 3rd Division is not such a bad place. Couldn't go to this match by the way because according to my host you have to be "registered" because they get so much trouble. At that level!

The gate that was open gave no access to where the crowd were by the way. Just a handful of people on the bank. Bit like Oakwell training

    Looks alright to me.

Have you ever visited Cowdenbeath or Albion Rovers?

I recall that certain clubs in Poland keep the away fans in a cage, due to the amount of trouble they have over there.

Edit: just had a quick Google and found this:

No I haven't been to any Scottish grounds but ur right - the Opole ground looks ok from one angle. Very little cover though. Right next door is a fantastic lido complex. Been there a couple of times in the summer.

Cowdenbeath's ground has a stock car racing circuit around it. It's an utter eyesore and next door is a fantastic Bingo complex. LOL

No nothing to do with Sheffield. The park is called Sheilfield. Its the Berwick Bandits home ground.

Been a very long time since I've visited Sheilfield. 1974 if I remember correctly but from recent pictures I'd say its in better condition than Central Park.

Suppose if I had been a Dundee supporter I'd have had plenty opportunities to visit the like of Berwick and Cowdenbeath on league business. LOL

What's the worst ground you've been to in Scotland, Ian? Albion's ground looks quite bad.

TBH Conan I've never been to Albion Rovers but possibly the worst has to have been Boghead. Dumbarton's old ground. Utter tip. Their new ground, which I have still to attend only comprises 1 stand but at least I think you can come out of it as clean as you went in, unlike their old ground.

Right thats me off to Firhill (Partick Thistle) Used to be a right tough old place but a couple of new stands has certainly helped improve the ground. They have yet to develope behind one of the goals.

But the ground is right in the middle of Taggart Land. Maryhill....There's been a Murder.

But I'm sure I will survive.

I used to work with a lad from Maryhill (or Maryhell) as he called it. He used to tell me it was worse than the Gorbals which I always thought was the worst place in Scotland.

Well it was certainly HELL for me today. We got beat 3-0. We now sit proudly at the bottom of the pile 5 points from safety.

You don't by any chance have the Samaritan's number?

I wouldn't bother, you won't get through. The lines are all busy with those who went to Doncaster.
