From the Official site: IF THE LADS CAN PLAY ANYWHERE NEAR AS WELL AS THEY DID AT HUDDERSFIELD THEN I AM SURE THAT THEY WILL BE CELEBRATING - MICHAEL FORMER Reds striker Michael Chopra has backed Andy Ritchie's side to beat Swansea City in Saturday's Coca Cola League One Play Off Final. Speaking exclusively to www.barnsleyfc.co.uk while on holiday in Dubai, Michael said: "Even though I am out of the country I will still find a television and watch the game on Saturday. If the lads can play anywhere near as well as they did at Huddersfield then I am sure that they will be celebrating promotion at the end of the game. "I know some of the players will be a little nervous because it is a big occasion and a massive game but they have the quality to win. "It is a huge game for the club and one that every player will want to be a part of. There is something huge to play for and promotion will be fantastic for the Barnsley supporters. I am sure they will enjoy their day out and hopefully they will be celebrating come the end of it". The Newcastle United striker added: "I have been offered a new deal by Newcastle but it is only for one year and with some new strikers set to come into the club, maybe it is time to move on. I need to be playing first team football and I think I will find myself down the pecking order again. "I have come to the age where I need to be playing regularly. I really enjoyed my time with Barnsley and coming back to Oakwell is always going to be an attractive option for me. There are other teams interested so we will have to wait and see. "Ideally I would like to play at the highest level possible and stay in the Premiership or Championship at least. If Barnsley get promoted this weekend then who knows what could happen in the future".
Would def love to see him back in a Red's shirt. Did let the idiots get to him... Infact shoved two fingers upto the idiots who got at him
Sounds to me as if the water's have already been tested. All that needs to be done is win on Saturday, so no problem there. <img src ="http://blog.devstone.com/images/emote_yn.gif">
RE: Sounds to me as if the water's have already been tested. Wonder if we'd gone straight up had he played all last season with us? Hopefully we'll win on Saturday,he'll have completely forgotten that dreadful incident against Donny and spend the next three seasons here. (clap)
Three Year Contract For Him ?... or should we give him a four ? (surely alot of the women here would give him one).
