I saw an u21 game between Boro and LFC a couple of months ago on the LFC TV channel. Jacob played in it, bossed it, scored a 30 yard rocket. LFC won 4-3 in a reight game. We've saved it on Sky+. Anyway, I've had a look back to see if McLaughlin played and he did. He came on in the 78th minute and went wide left of midfield. Within a couple of minutes, he went right wing. He looks older than 19, fiery character, good leap on him, quick feet and runs at the opponent every time. Can't judge him perfectly on ten minutes and not at all as a defender, but on this brief showing I'm optimistic about him. Just thought I'd share that.
