http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7098366.stm</p> <font size="2">Police are to hold talks with the leaders of south London's most violent gangs in an attempt to cut gun crime. </font></p> Leaders of seven gangs will be brought in one-by-one and told gun crime has to stop or police will come down hard on them, Scotland Yard said.</p> </p> FFS on a stick. "If you don't put those guns away young man, I'll be sending one of my officers around to have a jolly strong word. There's an ASBO coming your way young fella me lad"</p> How about the Police just round them up AND THROW THE FECKING BOOK AT THEM ? </p>
With the modern technology available in policing these days, how can we live in a society where the Old Bill know who the leaders are, but aren't able to pin anything on them?
lol, wouldn't it just be better to make it public knowledge the personal details about the gang leaders - names, address etc, to make it hapen quicker? Hang on - it would contravene their human rights!
In the 70's and 80's Every squaddie who served in Northern Ireland knew where McGuinness and Adams lived. And were'nt alowed to do a thing about it. And murder and chaos was the order of things for a long time because of it.</p> This could be a very similar theme.</p>
Because although they may know who they are they don't have the evidence to be able to bring a successful prosecution?
