Personally I enjoy looking at several subtly different threads about a topic with 20-30 posts in rather than one massive thread with 150 posts in it. They get too big to follow and have too many tangents. Why is it such a problem to have a few separate threads on a single topic?
lol there was nowt official about it . I just merged a load of threads. Which mostly had zero replys or were very similar. no problem with having lots of threads about john stones at all. but is there a poit having 4 threads stating john stones having a medical at Everton I did it at the time when we were starting to get info about other BFC players and it was getting lost. Thats why I lumped them all together, only did it once.
Yeah, fair enough- if they are exactly the same post that's annoying and people need to check before they post. I only bring it up it's one of the things I enjoy about this site, and I see other footy forums that work that way- they have one official thread for subjects with hundreds of posts...
I think its something to do with cutting the number of threads so its easier to merge the board with Tykesmads board.....thats what I've heard
Even admin are doing it now! Contributing to a thread which is a clear repeat of the discussion in the "sticky". (Though I'm not sure what the rule is about merging "stickies" with ordinary threads)
