Ben Davies released by Derby, absolutely cracking player at this level.

He's going to the Blunts. That'll be their fourth signing if I'm doing maths well.

So that's JCR and a guy I've never heard of plus 2 others, that's not bad for a club that has a guy that is suppose to be one of the worlds richest men involved. Gee I'm soooooo jealous, not.

    I hear that.

I'm not at all blown away with their signings.

JCR, we know all about him.

Marc McNulty? One for Arabian Ian maybe?

Andy Butler is it, from Walsall? Still not completed actually.

Neither is the Ben Davies transfer, but he's ex Clough so it's a matter of time.

They're dealing early though, despite an already strong squad. We, with no squad by the looks of it, have recruited nobody. That's not a worry right now, not for me, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for at least one signing that made me think "gu on, Tarn".

Long time to go yet though. Patience is a virtue.

Yep, we need to have patience.

That said, I do like to see the vast majority of the squad formed at start of pre-season. I believe Ben Mansford has gone on record saying that was a major mistake last season, when Flicker took his time to agree his own contract and that resulted in a delayed and late formation of the squad.......and some bad/panic buys.

Danny Wilson is in place, we know our budget, so we should be aiming to have a squad in place by pre-season kick off. If potential signings are delaying and "hedging their bets" then I would be questioning their integrity and motivation for being at BFC.
