Funnily enough,

I think he was one of the better players out there (not saying much)! When he dropped deep he looked skillful. Everyone was rubbish though.

I'd like to see him with the ball in front of goal - instead of chasing back. Can't score without the service

I've not been impressed I have to say but I always thought he was a bit of an expensive gamble for a club like ours, one that we can ill afford. In his defence I'd say he would benefit from a decent strike partner that actually moved about the field a bit instead of that waste of space Odejayi. Don't get me started on him......

    I don't agree.

He hasn't had anything like decent service - the crosses that went in today were shocking, and aside from that we were totally one dimensional. There were no penetrating passes, there was nothing in the box on the floor for him, his strike partner wasn't holding the ball up for him, wasn't taking defenders out of the way - Mostto simply can't do it all for himself. Yes, Campbell looked like a million dollars, but he had Wind ass working space for him and did a lot to feed him in.

If Mostto was missing clear chances, I'd slate him, but the truth is, we're not creating chances. He's not off the pace, because when we go forwards he makes intelligent runs and he get himself into the box. A lot of the time he has to resort to dropping deeper to take a short pass - but what is he going to do from there? Let's face it - most of our players today were guilty of giving the ball away very cheaply - but actually Mostto was the one who was retaining possession and regularly finding a red shirt (who invariably gave the ball away anyway).

Of all our problems today, I genuinely thought Mostto was the least.

I dont just judge him on tonight

he has yet to have a good game where you think fecking hell we have a great player here, he does not look like he will EVER be a out and out goalscorer, cos thats what we need , we cant rely on Howard to keep scoring and its been obvious to all and sundry that Odejayi is a workhorse only. Christensen has not got a good scoring record in his career, Mostto was ther big thing for us this season and he looks less likely to score tham willie Ferry ever did :D

is that the same guy who scored most of his goals running with or onto the ball ? The service he gets is *****, he is not a target man, neither is Stan.

Togwell CM lets Howard get forward to play the forwards in. At the moment it's whistleing around their ears.

I see what you mean, but I still think it is early days and I'd love to see him actually playing off someone who was working with him properly. Looks like at the moment he's not communicating very well... fingers crossed it will come good. I'm not ready to write him off or criticise him just yet. Maybe a bit of time in the reserves would help him. Can't have been a very easy move to come all this way.

I see your point but i just don't see him having the necessary sharpness needed in the box at this level. I always feared that the goals would dry up for us as we've been relying on Howard too much. Our four strikers have four goals BETWEEN them FFS !! I know what you say about lack of service but three of them are the same type of striker (targetmen) and all of them are on the stationary side to say the least. The only one making runs is Mostto and that's usually towards the halfway line to pick up the ball and lay it off.
We have players with vision in the middle but our forwards do not pull the oppostion defenders around enough to create space.
