This petition to get a UK banning order for Trump......

........I am sure some on here will leap down my throat but I strongly disagree. Give this idiot enough rope and he will hang himself. If he did visit the UK I am sure there would get the message that he is not welcome. However, banning someone because you do not agree with their beliefs or views makes us no better than those who seek to take away our freedom of speech and way of life.

Ban someone for inciting violence -OK. Ban someone for face-to-face threats of violence and intimidation - fine. However, banning someone because what they say we find repellent is a dangerous path to tread. Whilst I disagree with virtually every utterance from Trump, I am not aware of anything he has said that directly incites violence towards others. His views and 'solutions' are extreme and to any rational person are unacceptable.

I note the initiator of this petition has axe to grind as they had problems with Trump regarding this Scottish Golf hotel plan so they had a separate agenda already.

That said- it has been reported that he really wants to force USA Muslims to wear an I.D. badge on their clothing when in public? Really??? Is that true or a myth?

 

The "liberal fascists" like the guy who reported Tyson Fury for a "hate crime" and these other idiots want an end to free speech.

 

It's just nonsense, you can't ban someone because you don't like what he says so long as it's not inciting violence

 

Do people also want to ban freedom of speech then?

He may not have said they should wear a badge, but he has said that they should be registered.

He did say that they should publically identify themselves by their faith, so I guess he's in favour of the burka then!

It's highly unlikely he would be banned, and it's probably more of a tongue in cheek thing to say he should given what his comments have been.

 

I understood there was a ban on preachers of hate. Surely his comments fall in this bracket. Vile Hitler inspired diatribe. Hopefully even Americans aren't crazy enough to vote him in.

 

Perhaps a petition to get Choudary out the country should be first priority

I think hes got it wrong , I would go a couple of steps further and shut the border to everyone trying to come in till it was all sorted out. then check all passports (new) given out in the last 10 years ,properly. Not one religion or people, every****
