Not that I want a goat to replace our resident bulldog like!

Might be an age thing, I'm 40 now. But I love all things retro. Always have, always will and have since a kid. I love history no matter how ****. I love the fact that we were **** for years. I love the fact our biggest boast is 1 solitary prem season, two cup finals over 100 years ago and a couple of bits Inbetween. We all support BFC as we're born and not manufactured!

I fully support new ideas, impetus and it's like a breathe of fresh air. Walk, run in that order. We've (condiment station alone) seen nothing of change match day wise. And all of a sudden the 'rebrand' ***** served up today is simply embarrassing.

I'll be supporting anything constructive the 'brand' comes up with apart from anything I regard as detaching the club from its history. We need to engage the future generation, my 9 year old lad wears a 91 shirt to home games. He doesn't need a new badge to love the club. He loves us cos it's ours! Simple as........... born not manufactured!

Could have been worse, they could have just changed the crest/badge without giving us a choice, ala Everton and their abomination.

They were never going to please everybody, but it seems the pleased are few in numbers.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think a 'brand refresh' is - at this moment in time - a priority. This is a club whose official twitter account has problems with simple spelling and punctuation.

But from what I can gather, most have voted to keep the current badge/crest so maybe the 'refresh' won't happen at all?

It would be a bit embarrassing all round, but we shouldn't just vote for the best of a bad bunch. If we don't like any of the designs better than our current, we should reject them all.

You're not the only one, I don't want my football club turned in to a "brand"

They probably already have a winner waiting to be unveilled. It got 43% of the vote by the way.

Could have probably recruited a decent left back for the price of designing these badges.

I've voted for B, though. Can't stand the current crest/badge.

I agree to a certain extent, But I do think everything needs a shake up. I'd have gone back to the Oakwell logo, but am happy to go along with something more up to date, if that what it is.
I'm not a fan of the "brand" stuff much, BUT I think the club is trying to move forwards in a way that a small club has to. I'm willing to see where it takes us.
The test for me is if they sort the merchandising out. We need more choice, more affordable. There are a lot of shades and colours in those logos.... That could put up the cost in replicas. Just hope they've thought about that.

I don't know you so don't take this personally............but I just cannot understand people that say this kind of thing

What springs to mind reading your comments is this, I, along with a few others witnessed an act of vandalism while in Grimethorpe, and this guy said this to me about the mentality of people that live in Grimethorpe - had nowt and dunt want owt.........they will not accept any kind of change.

No matter how good the change maybe..........some people will complain about it just because its 'a change'.
How people are able to make a success of their lives without change; God only knows

Is it a change for the better in this instance, I would have happily voted for a new badge if owt appealled to me but nowt there beats what we already have in my opinion.

    It`s only tittivation anyways.

Reyt................... I don't know you either but here goes....

I do accept change. If it hasn't escaped your notice I've just spent the last 5-6 months doing WSB and spending countless hours all for fook all personal gain to fill a gap that I and the others thought might just make a change and that folk for years had said would be welcomed and appreciated. So I just don't sit on mi arse spouting unsubstantiated Internet ********, I actually get off my big fat one if I've an opinion and/or vision and do something about it.

I'm not from Grimey (too posh), but I just have my opinions (there're like arseholes, we've all got one) so I will accept change, willingly if it's in any way
constructive and creative. This isn't by far. It's durge!

Come on....the club is simply changing the emblem.

It's something we've done many times before and I'm sure it will change again in future.

We all know winning football matches is the most important, but please don't get on the club's back for trying to be progressive.

I'm not getting on the clubs back as far as progress is concerned. I'm just of the opinion that using a past badge that has some sort of past connection would be a better option. The dross they've served up is appalling!

When they can pay a design agency £?????? to design those quicker than I could have bobbed down to Currys and buy 20 flat screen TVs beggars belief! I do welcome change of the correct direction. I'd just like to embrace the history and educate new/young fans why we've been here since 1887 rather than try and rebrand something that relies on local fans and not bought ones.

A rebrand isn't going to attract Donny/Sheff/Rovrum kids to support us. Attention should be redirected. Onwards and upwards.

Thing is - you are not criticising the new badges in your initial comments, which would be fair enough even though I disagree with you on that..........what you are actually doing is criticising 'change' or the clubs efforts to change things for the better

My thread was titled 'this rebrand' which after numerous threads today about the badge I would have expected to be self explanatory. If not sorry for confusion...

''I fully support new ideas, impetus and it's like a breathe of fresh air....''

''I'll be supporting anything constructive the brand comes up with....''

You're right I'm totally opposed to any form of change!

We might not agree with what change is welcomed and required but I'm sure you'll agree I'm not opposed to anything I feel will benefit the club in either the short or long term. My opinion is, this will do neither and have little or possibly a negative effect .

I can't see a problem with changing the emblem! In the past we have had some good ones that I would have liked to have seen reinstated but at least the powers that be have tried to keep the badge in keeping with the town itself. It's new and by no means a bad thing.

When the club try reaching out to the community like this we should be embracing it not dismissing it or we will never move forward.

What's the saying? United we stand divided we fall? A club like ours needs to stick together and I really believe the current regime understand that and though it's early days we are heading in the right direction.

3 points tomorrow and they can put what they want on the bloody shirt........

I'm supportive of our history and what it means. I'll back that til the cows come home.

My real beef (cow related) is the shittyness of the choices. Good idea, really **** execution! It's defeated the whole object in my opinion. Given us 4 choices that I reckon no one actually would ideally like. Change for change sake.

Have we been given the 'old' options as a choice?!?!? Not this time, no.

I fully support the club in its progression although this seems to be for the sake of change. And poorly done. Just my opinion, but I really can't see me buying into the new badge thing. Folk on ere can't sleep for weeks worrying about what the new kit looks like!!!!! Those badges FFS

    It's difficult to please everybody.

The most important thing for me is the quality of football on the pitch, put the scoreboard and new emblems and whatever else to the side because at the end of he day it's no good having all new and updated things off the pitch and finding ourselves in league 1.

We've got some of the best facilities around but we started to run before we could walk and ended up relegated and in administration. Small steps with the new emblem and concourse trying to bring people back to oakwell is fine with me.

Get some tickets given to local schools and youth clubs and get some interest built up again.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is the new emblem is a small piece of a bigger picture and obviously everybody won't agree on everything but we all want the same thing from the club now and with the right people at the top we will get there just slowly.
