    Yeah, why? I think he's been really good and gave the Croatia goal immediately even before VAR checked it

    I think he’s been very good. In fact, the standard of refereeing at this tournament has been brilliant. Refs letting the game flow and not giving fouls for everything has made the games so much better to watch.

    He also got them to get a wriggle on during extra time that allowed Croatia to equalise.

    In my opinion he's had a good game up to press....see what happens in extra time

    I think apart from the time delay with var at Wembley....Var's proved to be valuable set up
    Have we got a dodgy system here in the UK....as every other country seems to be a lot quicker with decisions than we ever are or have been this past season

    Tbf Spain have had 67% of possession, so you'd expect more fouls given away by Croatia.

    I agree. The referee in Belgium v Portugal had a very poor game though, he totally lost the control of the game towards the end. I think he tried a bit too hard to let the "game flow", or perhaps he had just lost his red card.

    Or that one team dives about a lot. One instance, Croatia player caught morata slightly on his arm with his fingertips. Morata flings himself on the ground clutching his face like he's been punched on the nose. Wins a free kick edge of penalty area. I've a mate who won't watch football because of the cheating. He thinks in the age of var simulation should be instant dismissal. Hard to argue, would soon stop it.
    Not the refs fault, squarely the players.
