would that be the one that's conceded 3 goals in 4 games and won the penalty our "creative" types were incapable of getting, to win us the game on Satdy?

    Or is that another defence?

even yesterday it didn,t look very good, more by luck then good judgement that we didn,t concede!

Yes, That would be our poor defence.

We havent played anyone yet. Only swindon, who to be fair will play alot better this season. The likes of Yeovil, Scunny and a poor Colchester side.

Save your comments when we come across some decent opposition. If you stuck 2 decent strikers into yesterdays Yeovil team, we'd have struggled.

Yes and if you replaced McPhail with one half decent midfielder, to help take the pressure off the defence, they would be more than adequate.

Yes, the same old McPhail rubbish.

    (zzz)

He could have easily been man of the match against Swindon and Scnuthorpe. Hes had a bad game thow, so i suppose he wants sacking.

I don't think that Jevons and Bastianini are that bad a pair.

Yeah exactly, Jevons did nothing, that's the point. Remember he scored 4 goals against us last time we played against him!

When did he have the good one, because I must have missed it. Tell me the game when he took control and made things happen. When he was in such good form that everything that we did came from him or went to him. The game when he was demanding the ball at every opportunity and making good runs with and without the ball. When he was making good tackles in defence and forcing saves or tackles from the opposition defence. I'll tell you which game that was! It was the one that you dreamt after a night on the booze after watching one of his usual inept performances.
    Get real!

The game had 0 - 0 written all over it until Mr. Williamson decided to make sure he made the headlines on sunday morning. I though your guy was going over even before Sodje stumbled over him (but I would say that wouldn't I ??). Even liked it even better when after the goal, your players took it towards the corner flags on their own goal line to waste time !! At home, against a side that 3 years ago took 108 years to get out of non-league and get taunted with boring, boring Barnlsley. For F***s sake, you lot need to get out more !! A former premiership side playing like that at home - all I can say - you are easlily pleased.

    A couple of points...

    1) It may not have been a penalty, but there was a cast iron one turned down just minutes later.

    2) So you think it's sensible to go gung ho for a second goal in the last two or three minutes and risk conceding an equaliser, rather than keep the ball in a corner? Aye, all right then. If you watch much football, you'll know that every team does it, including the likes of England, France and Brazil. The number of games we threw away in the last five minutes last year was frightening, so I was delighted to see us doing that yesterday.

Oh, and if you've read much of this board, you'll find that the majority of our fans are NOT pleased with the performance yesterday, so get off your high horse.

We won, you lost, get over it.

Awaiting 6ft + centre forward and long balls and crosses into our box. Get ready.

    Ahhh - but ...

... surely our 'balsa wood' defence can't be that bad - with 2 clean sheets already this season.

    I wasn't there - so I can't comment.

I think everything must be fine.

    RE: Ahhh - but ...

    We were ******* crap.

Hayes and Reid aside that is.

    Midfield was invisible.

Yeovil offered nothing but grew in confidence as our ineptness became apparent. On that showing they are going down and we aren't far behind.

    I don't understand ...

We won ... and kept a clean sheet.
    Surely everything is fine?

Don't threaten me with your questions about the quality of our squad.

You would have been in your element on Setdi neet.
Loads of posh bints after a bit of rough.

    Reyt then.

TFP: Look at all them theer hats hung up.
Posh Bint: Yes - it almost looks like a display.
TFP: Nah, it's like a coconut shy - you throw your hat on the peg & win a cuddly toy.
    Posh Bint: Really?
TFP: Oh aye - have you not seen the stuffed toys everywhere?
Posh Bint: What a great idea.
TFP: Yep. They charged a quid a go to get some money back for the portaloos.
    Posh Bint: Really?
    TFP: Oh aye.

Told them I was an international cornflake dealer.

No! I don't ask much from him. Just that he earns the ridiculous wages that he gets paid. Why shouldn't we expect him to perform in the way that Chelsea fans expect their highest paid players to perform.
