I bet Man Utd are so glad they decided to sack Alex Ferguson all thoses years ago...

Changing managers isn't the answer, Danny has proven he is is a good manager, Sheff Utd in my opinion would have been promoted should they have stuck it out instead of listening to the same drivel of shouts for the managers head.

If the players don't perform, move em on. Doesn't have to be nasty on on bad terms, just doesn't work out at clubs for some players. Start getting more performance related aspects into the contracts so it becomes easier to move players on for consistent poor performance like in any other areas of employment. If they refuse to sign then, for me they obviously don't have the correct mindset to be part of the club..

Plus did anyone really expect 1 round of recruitment to pretty much re-build a club from scratch using lower league players to work straight away. 4 or 5 players might have to leave and others brought in until the balance is right.

At the moment we are defo missing the kind of player who can win the ball, keep composure and distribute the ball away from trouble whilst retaining possession. We also are struggling with a few injuries to key players.

How it helps to shout for a managers head not even halfway into a season I find it impossible to understand. Negativity breeds negativity, players end up scared to try a creative pass because of a backlash from the same muppet sections in the crowd. I have one of those muppets near me in the ponty. If the ball is kicked off the ground, immediately on the players back 'Gerrit on't chuffin flooor, yer *****'. Then 2 mins later same brain doner hurling abuse at a player for not playing a 50 yard pass to a player.. 2 mins later, still no goals and it is time for the manager to go. Grow up pal.

I'd love to see what he does for a living (presuming he does have gainful employment), wonder how he would react if I walked into his place of employment and hurled the same sort of tripe at him. Don't think the 2 brain cells would compute somehow.

    Come on yoooouuu reddddddddzzzzzzz...

Stopped reading after the first line.. Comparing Man United not sacking Ferguson to us keeping Wilson now is outrageous.

Not really, they could have scaked him but they held their nerve and the rest is history. Nobody is saying that we'll win the premier league and the champions league if we stick with Danny but I think better days will come if we hold our nerve and stick with him. Stability is the key.

You site ManUtd as an example but then fail to mention that they sacked Moyes after only 1 season in charge and look where they are now compared with last season. Not saying I want Wilson sacked though.

    Why is it outrageous ?
2 Football clubs (albeit in different divisions), 2 experienced managers, 2 clubs struggling to find any form, 2 sets from the muppet section of supporters clamouring for the managers head...
Quite a few comparables to be fair. Plus the Ferguson situation was pre silly money football days as well.

Someone has suggested I look at Wikipedia to identify whether Wilson has proved himself a good manager. Well Ok then..

Left Barnsley to join his former club who were on the slide.. 1st season they finished 12th so improved on the previous season.. then Wednesday couldn't compete with the other emerging powers and faded again.

Moved to Bristol City and had them playing some good football, just missing out on promotion from League 1. They never looked a poor side under Wilson in my opinion.

Moved to MK Dons who were finding their feet as a team in league football, playng arguably above their level at that time in League 1. Didn't really work out their however don't see any long term damage at MK Dons.

Moved to Hartlepool who again were a poor team when he took charge. Team were relegated and were promoted under Wilson (Does a poor manager get a team promoted?)

Moved to Swindon, signed some good players including Charlie Austin. Involved in play off action and top of the table stuff for the most. Every manager has poor runs and Swindon parted company when this occured under Wilson.

Went to Sheff Utd under extremely challenging circumstances, chants for him to be sacked from day 1 just because he was a former Wednesday player and manager.. Halted the slide virtually immediately at united. Finished 3rd with 90points and 92 goals. Normally good enough for automatic promotion. Picked up a manager of the month award on the way to that finish. Lost on the day in play off final.

Next season, picks up another manager of the month award in October. Had a 19 game unbeaten run that season.

and then along came the muppet brigade crying for the managers head because they were massive and only in 3rd place, having a minor wobble.. How did the board react?? Listened to the muppets and sacked a manager who had the team in 3rd place !!!!!! This went on to de-stabilize the club and they missed out on promotion. Sparked a multitude of management changes at the club which has not helped them one bit. I suspect another knee jerk reaction should they have a poor christmas run and slip down the table...

So on reading Wikipedia, i reckon Wilson has a good record as a manager. most maagers go through their career without a single promotion or play off to their name. We have a manager with multiple promotions. Masses of experience in this division, don't see how he could be labelled has having a poor career.

I notice that Wilson has notched up 1000 games as a manger now, do clubs constantly employ poor managers?

If I was to be critical of anything, it would be as to why Wilson didn't bring Frank Barlow into the club as his assistant rather than Hutchins. He had worked with Barlow for years prior so expected it to happen. Maybe not too late to add him to the mix.

Keep defending the indefensible and things may turn out ok.

Then again when the renewal letters for next season hit the doormat things may turn out not to be ok for the hierarchy.

It's a disease in football and reflects modern life very much.

Nobody sticks with anything for any length of time these days cos the grass is always greener on the other side ..... except in most cases it isn't.

Wonder how stupid all the tens of thousands of protesters against Allardyce and Pardew feel now?

People need to grow some balls, shut the **** up moaning, dig in for the fight and support the players and manager instead of taking the easy option every few months of sacking the manager and putting us back to square 1

Ps. On the 14th November 2014 we had just won our 3rd game on the bounce and people were (foolishly) talking about us getting a play off place or even automatic promotion.

It is now the 15th of December and we need to sack the manager and start again with somebody else in charge.

That's how ridiculous football has become

how would changing the manager have prevented that?

You said that last season and our attendances have remained similar despite the drop.

I'll tell you what would make me question renewing my season ticket - sacking another manager. I'm not the only one that has suggested as much either.
