Get rid of the 'deadwood' bring in some 'tried and tested' strikers and defenders and build on the best we had last season, but

We first of all struggled against non league part timers and if Wigan had not taken the foot off the pedal in the second half we would have lost 10-0

Now we lose the first two serious games and they are only a sample of what we have to come next few weeks. Dreading Saturday, but think about the two games against The Pikeys and one against Washday and 5 more tough games we have to come. Anybody like to re think the points we will have at the end of September ??? :'( :'(

If you try and think about it as rationally as possible

there are few real reasons to expect we will do significantly better this season than last season.

True, in Hume we have signed a decent striker who might help get us a few more goals than the forwards did last year

    BUT

Hassell in midfield just leaves us too weak. He can tackle but that's about it.

Howard doesn't seem to play as well with Hassell and doesn't seem to be arsed as much as he once was.

Moore is slow as **** and his selection will keep Foster (our best centre back) at right back, where he is much less effective but overall I'd say a back 4 of Foster-Moore-Souza-Kozluk is significantly weaker than a back four od Hassell-Foster-Souza-Kozluk.

Add into that our lack of physical presence almost everywhere on the pitch and it's easy to see how we could have problems this year.
