To just say a few things this season has had some great moments, some good moments, a lot of megiocre moments and some bloody aweful moments, but its been a season I will never forget. Wembley semi, beating Liverpool and Chelsea, things that I never thought I would see. Some bizarre tactical and player decisions I hope we never see again. Roll on next season.
Sorry mate Just wanted to show how much I agreed with your post. I'll change it if you like, but actually I quite like it.
Bring on next Season........ YOU REDS!!! Yep top campaign.... hope next year is even better! top half of the table finish complemented by another cup run would do me nicely
Not sure I'd say 'excellent'. Exciting, yes. Infuriating, definitely. Superb results against two of Europe's biggest teams and a handful of good wins against the top Championship sides (who are a lot weaker than many have made out) shouldn't really disguise the poor standard of play overall and the off-field marketing disasters. Sounds like the latter is a high priority for PC, and we know Davey has other signings lined up, but we all know it needs doing and has done for a while. That said, I said at the beginning of the season I'd settle for fourth bottom, but I emphasise the word 'settle'. To say this season has been 'excellent' is like saying it's excellent getting two numbers on the Lottery rather than just one - it's an improvement, but you still get f**k all for it.
Couldn't agree more, and if anyone thinks it's going to be a stroll in the park next season, then they are as daft as Micky Walker and john Ryan.

More progress off the pitch but on it I'd say we did little more than tread water. I think it's really exciting that PC has taken the reins, hope he identifies our main problem and acts on it.

First half of the season had me thinking we could maybe push on for playoffs. Then we reached xmas and everything started to go wrong. Muller, Anderson out for season. Great cup run masked a poor second half of season. Been alot of highlights though. A season to remember and I do genuinely feel that if we can add 3 or 4 good players (striker amongst them) then we can be up the top half and maybe dreaming of a playoff place in the last couple of weeks of the season. Only 5 wins away from it this season.
Most enjoyable season in years And some great memories The main problem this season has been stregnth in depth. When you looked at the bench during games we weren't doing well I couldn't see how we could change the game. The first team were good but the back up has been weak. Hopefully some key signings in the summer and keeping our best players will change that. Some people may have criticised Davey at times for his tactics and team selection, and some of it can be justified, but you have to admit that his options have been severely limited.
RE: Most enjoyable season in years
Nobody forced him to putthree crap strikers on the bench.
