Who is our best player? A couple of weeks ago everybody was complaining that our best player was going to Bolton for next to nowt, but then a week or so later they were bemoaning the fact that our best player was out injured for up to 8 weeks, but now it seems our best player has signed for Everton. He doesn't half get around our best player doesn't he*.

*Actually he doesn't, cos anyone we've played this season will tell you our best player is Perkins.

I think we were all glad to see the back of Davies by the time he left. Stones is/was our best player, how many other £3m cheques are being waved about?

You are talking about more than one opinion here mate, remember! The amount of bickering should tell you that 'everybody' doesn't exist!

Does your babysitter have any racing tips, by the way? :)

I'd have felt worse if we would have sold Perkins - especially with Dawson out. Dawson player of the year for me so far

    Player of the year:

    1. Dawson
    2. Perkins
    3. Stones???
I think Cranie and Golbourne have also been solid but I wouldn't have said Stones was our best player. Best prospect, but I think it would have done much more harm to our survival chances had we sold Perkins or if Dawson had been ruled out for the season. You could say Centre Midfield is a much more important position than RB.

Best player or not. He was the best player in that position

We've just sold a player we need at the min, a player who has an impact to how we play.

Then we don't spend any of the money. But I'd doubt we get that much upfront.

I'm a little disappointed in Stones for leaving so quick after claiming to be a fan. Everton yes but wanted to go to Wigan rather than play for who he claims to support?

I agree. Even though we would not get £3 million for any other of our current players, players like Dawson etc. are more important and integral to us staying up. The £3 million is just as much for potentioal as for current ability.
