I'm pretty certain that if that was put forward for the first time now everyone would say the drawing is shocking and looks like a kid designed it. I'm sure people only want it for nostalgia's sake, 'cos that is fecking horrid! (I do like that it is much lighter in colour and simpler, however).
its ***** i agree but if its a choice between that and something with a red rose on it or BMBC badge then its a million miles better
I quite like that one actually. It's simple but good. D is the best of the new ones, but I think it's trying too much to have everything in it. The rose in badges A-C doesn't even look like a rose...
I've never liked the existing badge, i think its too much town and not enough BFC, but i really really hope it wins this vote, we'll be a laughing stock with any of the new designs, a Yorkshire club with a red Rose just int right
To my way of thinking, both the existing badge and Nightmare's version are better than the new designs. Nightmare's has the added benefit of having fewer colours and being simpler in design - thereby saving costs, which looks to me to be the object of the exercise. Nightmare's is also identifiably Barnsley - unlike the new ones, which could belong to any Yorkshire club ( in the right colours, obviously).
As I've said before on here.............the old 87 badge looks like a Christmas cup cake..........or a moose climbing out of a well This is 2013...........surely we have moved on from something that looks as childish and outdated as that!!! Imo the new designs look great especially option 'C'..........but we cant all be satisfied.............obviously I'm wanting something on the badges that relates to our name of 'Tykes'.................as in 'Yorkshire Tykes'.......because I'm wanting Barnsley Football club to be attractive to people not just from the Barnsley district but from a wider area.................but it looks like I'm not going to get it this time around I think Ben Mansford is looking to modernise the club and make it more attractive to potential customers so in my opinion this has been long overdue
I agree they do look grate, but only if your marketing some obscure bottled bitter, there not football badges, and no-one will ever convince me that we should have a red rose as our club crest.
