"Bobby Hassell has come in and done very well and will certainly continue in there in the short term. If he continues to play well in midfield then he will stay there." - Simon Davey
He's the boss. Just glad I didn't pay for the other midfielders to join Barnsley nor am I subsidising their wages due to our low crowds.
carry on Simon.1

He did well at that game of statues he was playing in the second half, easliy the winner for me, although if you watched carefully you could just see him moving his head around as the game continued all around him.
Don't think scoring and creating goals is Bobby's job On Setdi that should have been down to Campbell-Ryce, Howard, Leon, Nardiello, Macken, Odejayi and Devaney. Hassell is more concerned with keeping them out at the other end and we haven't conceded in the last couple of games.
Surely, if you were Togwell you would have your agent looking for a new club in the summer right now. I you can't get a game above a player playing out of position, and its obvious to everyone that he is not suited to that position, but the boss keeps picking him over you anyway, then you know its time to go. Davey may as well put a sign up in the changing room saying '**** OFF TOGWELL'.
True, but... Anderson for example, will support the wingers and the strikers when they are attacking, something that Boobie cannot and does not do.
De Silva is a far better player than Hassell in midfield But I don't think Togwell is. I think Hassell is doing the job that Davey has given him. Having said all that, I think Johnson is by far the best candidate for the central midfield roll, but he has been ****** off all together. Along with a number of others. On paper the squad is massive, but in reality it's tiny as Davey doesn't even consider half the players.
