Yes, it does lag behind... inevitably due to the peer 2 peer technology. Not a problem though unless you like to make live bets... then it can be a banana skin!
That's how it works Peer to peer sharing of a buffer from the last however many minutes of play. It's not a direct stream to your PC. There are a few things you can do to improve the quality and there may be other streams of higher quality available. Also, try to avoid using a wireless connection unless you have to or anything else that might affect it. Shut down other stuff that might use some of your bandwidth. The limitations are not within the p2p technology but are due to the bandwidth. This stuff will get better as that goes up. And in the short term it also gets better as more people use it and bottlenecks in the network are reduced.
It's because of the fact that it gets better when... more people use it that I was wondering whether we should all agree to watch one channel. Or will there be thousands of peers and we wouldn't make a difference? Can you tell how many peers are on a particular channel?
