We haveJohn Macken, who is unarguably our best striker, prior to the arrival ofHume who we haven'treally seen yet.
Ian Humehas signed for 1.2 million.Clearly, at that price we're not expecting him to be asub.So the partnershipup front should be Macken/Hume. We then have Odejayi, whom Simon is loyal to, and the possibly re-energisedMossto. So we have 4 strikers.
What benefit are we going to get from signing another striker, when he is likely only to be a squad player? Are we really going to spend a lot of money in that area for a bench-warmer?
When we concede 2 goals every game, why are we always talking about strikers? It's the errors and lapses of concentration at the other end that cost us dear. We need dependability at the back, and to be honest only Foster and Muller give us that.

I think you have a point there Although Hume could be played on the wing and Mostto may not come good. Of course there's Coulson as well.
Some good points but... last season we scored 52 and conceded 65
in the 99/00 we scored 88 and conceded 67 and got to the play-offs
I think we could do with tightening up at the back a little, but it was definitely up front where we were lacking last season.
hopefully with Hume and Macken up front we can bag more this season. But the 05-06 season when we last got promoted, we only scored 10 more than last season, but we only conceded 44, the 3rd least in the league.
