    You get it with

a lot of fans of has been clubs.
Forest and Leeds are2 that spring to mind.
They all seem to think that coz they played in europe once upon a time they have some divine right to play top flight football.
Argue with any supporter of any of these 3 clubs about how their not a big club anymore and 9 times out of 10 the response you'll
    get is
"what's your average attendance".They just can't get it into their heads that any big city club is going to get higher attendances but
doesn't make their team play good football.

As long as you can remember?

You would appear to have selective memory or be a recent convert from egg-chasing then as you've neglected to mention the matches in the 80s when we beat you 5 times out of 6 then. Picking 6 games from 3 recent seasons seems an odd way to determine a) whether we are ***** or not and b) whether we are a big club or not. However, if you choose to use them as a yardstick, 3 Cardiff wins, 2 Wednesday wins and a draw would suggest it was closer than you imagine.
