In the latest twist to the Carlos Tevez saga, Fulham have submitted a claim for £700,000 in compensation from West Ham over lost prize money because they finished below the Hammers in the Premier League in the season Tevez played at Upton Park. (The Independent)

    Hang on a minute...

If we go down (god forbid), can we sue West Ham, cos if they'd been relegated and not the Blunts, Morgan wouldn't have been playing in the Championship so he wouldn't have elbowed Hulme who wouldn't have suffered a fractured skull so he wouldn't have been out injured so he'd have probabley scored 20 goals this season so we'd have got enough points to have stayed up.......

    alreight, I'll get mi coit!

This Hume situation is also throwing a lot of wood on the fire for the Blunts match.............

...............police presence there is going to have to be the biggest ever seen for a derby match

Even the Chronicle today is stirring it up...........see Dugout

If Sheff U hadn't got relegated

the they wouldn't have played against us. Hume wouldn't have been attacked and he would be banging the goals in.

4 in 15 means he was on course for a dozen goals over the season. Not bad for one of our 'forwards'!

But not good for a £1.2m player that davey had pinned the hopes of the entire season on.

Can't always measure totally on goals. Busy little player working his socks off for the team, distracting defenders for others etc. Definitely missed him.

but it was true, cos we had no replacement ready. we should have signed 2 strikers when we signed him, everyone else knew it.

Shouldn't a lot of claims now be took out against Sheff U and not West Ham??

This Fulham thing is different, however surely the players/Warnock/Leeds should now be claiming against Sheff U?

No doubt the compo from West Ham is making up the revenue lost by being in the Championship and not the PL. If so then the players who are claiming for lost revenue due to any pay cuts should claim against the Blunts due to the compo giving them a position similar to what they would have had in the Prem?

Ditto Leeds - if the compo has been given to Sheff U to make up lost revenue then surely Leeds should be claiming the extra payments from them as they now have their finances increased to wot they woud have expected in the PM?

    Excellent point

In reality the 20 million has put them in a position similar to if they had stayed in the premier league. So any pay cuts, or bonuses the players missed out on, should now be claimed back from Sheffield United . . . . . . . . . won't happen though.
