Absolutely awesome. Definitely my current favourite beer. Also Sierra Nevada's Torpedo and Brass Castle's Bad Kitty (vanilla porter).

    Any other recommendations?

Where do you want me to start?

Brewdog Cocoa Pyscho. Ballast Point Sculpin. Bronx Rye Ale. Beavertown Gamma Ray. Beavertown Quelle Saison. Magic Rock Highwire. Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale. Oskar Blues Death by Coconut Porter. Siren Carribean Chocolate Cake. Siren Soundwave IPA. Hogsback Montezuma Chocolate Lager. Rooster's Baby Faced Assasin.

I should really just send you a photo of the inside of my fridge.

Lovely stuff. Cheers. I've Baby Faced Assassin, Cocoa Psycho and all the Beavertowns. I love Smog Rocket. Gamma Ray is my wife's favourite drink. There's a brilliant bar and beer shop in York called House of Trembling Madness and luckily its on my way home from work.

Brewdog have a Spring/Summer called 'Hop Fiction'. If she loves Gamma Ray, she'll love that.

Likewise if you love Torpedo from Sierra Nevada, try Brewdog's Jackhammer. Also anything from Wild Beer Co or Burning Sky, and a beer called 'First World Problems' by Stewart Brewing Company.

I was in Leeds last night drinking Firestone Walker Easy Jack IPA at The Scarbrough Taps. Then finished at Byron with a can of Beavertown Neck Oil. Great time to be a beer drinker.

Bottle shops mainly. Or online at BeerMerchants.com

Hop Hideout in Sheffield, Little Beer Shop in Leeds, Beer Ritz in Headingley, Beer Moth in Manchester, or House of Tembling Madness in York.

Have you tried the Black Sheep Imperial Russian Stout? 8.5% stuff, not exactly a session beer unless you want wobbly legs.

Still love a pint of Barnsley Bittery (Acorn one)..

There a shop on the Moor Market in Sheffield run by a Barnsley fan called Beer Central that's well worth a look if your into your ales. Huge selection and Sean really knows his stuff. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Luckily I'm staying at my mates on Saturday night in Shepherds Bush, right next to the BrewDog bar. There's one opening in York soon but it did amuse that the self-proclaimed anarchist beer for punks submitted a 160 page planning document detailing how they would conform to all conditions :)

The Wild Beer stuff is definitely different. I don't mind but I've seen people leave full pints

Good stuff , like the St Petersburg Imperial as well . Still got some Jaipur X left from Xmas which is similar to Troubadour Magma but a bit stronger at 10% . Into Northern Monk New World IPA from Leeds , it's worth a visit to their on brewery site bar The Refrectory foods not bad either. If you are into easy drinking strong IPA watch out for 8Wired Brewery Super Conductor Double IPA from New Zealand had some in the Shuffledog in Leeds just before Xmas, top stuff

I think the people leaving pints of Wild Beer were probably not expecting it to taste sour!

Give Sindercombe Social a try for one pint when you're there on Saturday (literally across the road from Brewdog). Should have either Founders All Day or Firestone Walker Easy Jack on draught, as well as Little Creatures Pale Ale from Australia on draught (first time they've ever sent more than a few kegs over before I ordered 400 of them in October).

Yeah, they'd just got a new batch of Jaipur X in last week. Going to get some today. I like all Thornbridge stuff. Will look out for the others. My wife got us a tour of Brass Castle brewery in Malton for Christmas. Their Hazlenut Mild is great on tap and Life's A Beach is a quality summer beer, although very coconut and melon like.

    Seconded!

I've got half a dozen bottles from around 2009 in my beer cupboard.

Essex IPA from The Tap. 8x500ml bottles for £3. I sunk about 20 crates over Christmas. Bargain!

Can you get Sculpin in the UK now? I've been searching for ages but the closest I've found is an internet order company in Germany who deliver to the UK, but at €6 a bottle with a huge minimum order! Our local craft brewery in St Petersburg have recently released a grapefruit IPA which is awesome, and apparently pretty close to the Ballast Point original.

Doctor Morton's Insane Root by Abbeydale was the best UK beer I tried last year - as full-bodied as the American IPA's but amazingly only 4.1% . Buxton Brewery have also got some beauties - Axe Edge and Moor Top are particular standouts.

I've got three or four bottles in my fridge that I bought from Beer Moth in Manchester. Brewdog Bars were also stocking their cans and the odd bit of draught until Ballast Point recently sold out to Constellation Brands for $1 Billion!

Ballast Point Sculpin is amazing. They also do Sculpin Grapefruit and Sculpin Habanero which are both tasty as well.

Should have mentioned Buxton. Axe Edge is great but their Yellow Belly beer is supposed to be ridiculously good (comes with white paper wrapped round it and two holes in for eyes - designed to look like the Klu Klux Clan I think).

The other one I missed is Cloudwater in Manchester. Their recent Double IPA sent the beer world in to a right spin a few weeks ago when they released it.
