Should be banned from selling them except in the week leading up to bonfire night. I'd actually go even further and limit sales to organised displays only, who would have to apply for a licence.

it wouldn't be so bad if they weren't the bangs. Its the loud noises that do the damage. I agree that they should all be banned except for large organised displays where the organisers have to have a permit and if there were any discrepencies then they could be held accountable

I don't mind the bangs to be honest. In fact i love 'em. Mind you, it is bloody annoying when the fireworks are still going off like they are down here this evening :(( Had trouble getting the little un to kip! It's bad enough when you get it over the whole weekend and then on the official day like this year.
When i was a nipper the problem with fireworks was mainly the older lot throwing Bangers at us 'for fun'.

Rather sociable of them to be honest.... fireworks instead of bombs. Maybe the integrated society option is back on courtesy of diwali?

    Could you imagine?.....

English people celebrating St George's Day in countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Islamabad and so on? Plus.... does the community of ex-pats there have the same say-so that their counterparts have in this land of ours?
    Just wondered like?
