I - to some degree - can understand where you're coming from. We have to see if not sacking a manager works!

    But...

What if we lose the next two, it will be one of the worst runs in our history. And we're in the third tier.

I'm all for giving people a bit of time but when we lose every game, barely have a shot on target and can't score from open play you have to wonder if we are backing the wrong horse.

So for those saying we should back him until the end of the season, surely that must come with conditions? What if we lose every game from now until May and are relegated by March? Should be still stay?

    Thoughts appreciated...

If that were the case, I would expect him to resign.

Managers rarely resign these days, and who can blame them? They just run things down and wait for the big pay-off.

Imagine that - being paid ludicrous amounts of money for failing at our job!

What if we were to win these next three away matches, Matthew? What if we win every game between now and May? "What if?" is an easy game to play.
I can't claim to speak for anyone else, but I want to see Johnson given the time and opportunity to put things right. Others have already made their minds up that he can't improve things, which is fair enough. I haven't.

imagine our manager owning an Aston Martin as someone said on here? he'll want to upgrade to a Bentley with his payoff from us.

That's a fair statement and probably where the club is at.

The massive question is at what point do they decide enough is enough?

We've reached the point at which enough was enough for DW and that is a decision that still rankles me.

In any case, time will be up if the club finds itself in the bottom four by December. Well that's what I think anyway. Which means nowt!

The club by their recent actions and reasons for doing so just make it harder for the next manager. By their criteria for sacking Wilson he should be gone.

    Yes, agree.

Perhaps their has been a hardening of the will at "board" level?

The last time there was the same willingness to keep a manager almost come what may was Simon Davey....

If we lose the next two games I'll not be calling for his head and he probably won't get the sack. If we lose every game between now and May I'll still not be calling for his head but he'll be gone. Rightly so, probably, but that isn't what's going to happen.

If we win more than we lose between now and the end of the season and make the play-offs next season will those who have been calling for his head change their ways when we lose a few in a row again? No, they won't and I think it's that behaviour that needs questioning, not those of us who refuse to give up on our manager.

I was in the Legends Suite a few times last season and the car was parked outside, LDJ 8 is the rego, I believe. Very nice motor.

Does anyone know why Lee retired so young? Was he injured? Just wondering where a lower league player got the money for an Aston Martin after a short career.

It's not his car. Unless he used to park it there while he was still Oldham manager.
