My thoughts on the players today: Collins: has to be his worst ever match today, the second goal was as bad as the long range goal he conceded to Stoke City 2 years ago. Williams: said it before he just isn’t a wing back. Even as a RB in a back 4 second half he was hopeless today. Andersen: not captain material, we saw this last season. Cannot play in a traditional back 4. Cundy: good in the air, but painfully slow at running, having him and Andersen in a traditional back 2 centre half pairing is idiotic and suicidal. Kitching: will do somet good like a lung busting run, but then will do somet so ***** it just makes him look utter garbage. ASBSOLUTELY NOT A lB! It’s worrying Duff even contemplated doing this after we saw what he was like there under Asbaghi. Styles: fear the lad is regressing massively, not capable or effective in the middle but probably wasted at LWB. Think he needs to move for the better of his career in the vein of Jacob Brown, didn’t do him any harm. Connell: looked pure class in pre season, has looked bang average in the actual season so far. Will get better in time though I think/hope. Benson: gone from being brilliant the last 3 games to hopeless today looking like his old terrible self. Thomas: see Benson. But also tends to dawdle too much on the ball and when in the box. Aitchison: is not a striker simple as that. Should be where Thomas is (number 10 role) either starting ahead of or as an understudy, definitely shouldn’t be a starting striker. Hasn’t the ‘killer touch’ or end product to be upfront. Didn’t play up front for Forest Green last season in League 2, that says it all. Cole: less said about him the better, thought too many people were being giddy over him after the Bristol Rovers game. He scored a great goal yes but after that he was his normal self *****, lethargic and toothless and today he was just as bad as he’s usually been since we signed him last year. If we’re hoping he’ll come good and score us the goals we need to do somet decent this season we might as well accept 16th place now. Subs: Norwood: spends more time on deck than actually stood up, looks a stone overweight and is about effective as Cole at present. At present I can see why Ipswich allowed him to leave on a free. Says it all when Chaplin and Kayden f’king Jackson are preferred over him (both scored today too ironically). Wolfe: probably his worst ever game when he came on but he was never going to be a player that would impact the game score wise. Still rate the lad though, as he was one of the only bright spots of last season. Hondermark: let’s be honest the game was all but done and dusted by the time he came on, is a player that is seemingly pigeon holed. Not sure where we even see him positionally speaking.
