I e.mailed BFC yesterday to say well done on Tuesday to Mr. Ritchie and the team and have had a reply today. Sent: Would you please pass this to Mr.Ritchie? Well done last night. I would just like to say that I was sat at home listening to some of the commentary and checking the bulletin board and couldn't believe the end result. Well done Mr. Ritchie and well done to all the players especially Scott and Nick. I hope Scott isn't injured too bad. A few more performances like that, fighting back and we'll soon be back in the Championship. from Laura Herring xx Received: Thanks Laura! Was a bit hairy in the first half but ended up ok. Hope you're well and hope we keep our results up, specially for you! Andy Ritchie So you heard it here first. (angel)
That was very nice of him When we first gave Andy Ritchie the job I made it clear that he wouldn't have been my first choice. But I believe the way he represents the club in the press and his general attitude are first class and he's a very likeable man. We haven't got off to a brilliant start this season, but it hasn't been too bad either, while the result at Preston was fantastic. I hope he goes on to be very successful with Barnsley and continues to prove me wrong for doubting him.
He does seem to be good at talking to people I hope that he and the team can settle down and play good football and get the results that we all want. I also hope that the players stop picking up injuries.
He used to be an excellent player too And he always, always seemed to score against Barnsley when he was playing for Oldham. The sight of him and Roger Palmer baring down on our defence was enough to give a Barnsley fan nightmares.
