for a derby it wasn't a blood and thunder affair. HOWEVER the Wednesday keeper should have been booked for time wasteing.

Should have been sent off in first half for handling the ball outside the box

He bottled the decision which would have completely changed the game

There goalie clearly handled outside the area in the first few minutes. The ref saw it, knew it and bottled it.

I was too low down to see it ..

.. but if you say so fair enough. What was the ref's positioning for the incident ?

I was in line. The ref was in line. The ball was the wrong side of the line.

Stop trying to blame the REF! FFS!

Everytime we lose its cos the ref didnt send some-one off or cos he booked our players and not theirs,GROW UP! We can just not be good enough on the night, its a fact of life. Sometimes its like listening to Warnock, being on this site.

    ?

I'm not blaming the ref - just responding to the original post! Didn't think the ref had a brilliant night but he obviously wasn't the reason we lost. Thought the game was about even and we deserved a draw which we would have got with a bit of luck.

    Did you go tonight?
If you didn't, I don't really feel, in all honesty that you can comment about the referee's performance.
    I know what I saw.

Tina, I am not saying the ref was any good

What I am saying is that the reason we lost has nothing to do with how good the ref is or was , just that sometimes we are just not good enough. Trying to deflect that fact onto the ref is just being silly.
Other teams think exactlly the same about the refs at Oakwell, ask Watford.

    Ref Had A Good Game

Can't believe some are blaming a correct decision by the ref in the opening minutes, for us not getting anything from the game. Would it have made a difference even with another keeper between the sticks anyway? We didn't know what a shot on target was last night.

RE: Ref Had A Good Game

I'm not blaming the ref for anything. I'm telling it like it is, Lee Grant picked the ball up out of the area, that is fact. The ref didn't do anything, so no use in arguing.

    It's gone. Over. Done.
