When we played Rotherham a few weeks back, one of the bars offered fans wearing a Rotherham shirt a cut price first drink at the bar. (£1.50 instead of the usual price I seem to remember). End result = fans go to aforementioned bar for their pre match beers, and everyone is wearing colours. Would be brilliant if BFC could do this....if we had a bar worth going to at Oakwell. humph.
But I choose not to wear a Barnsley shirt. However the idea is a good one. It could be something the club can do to utilise the current facilities dropping a mezzanine ceiling in east lower so it's not always freezing, decent telly + audio with early kick off sky news etc £2.00 a jar up until the final whistle ont sky game...
the old supporters club used to be a great place to go b4 a game and there wasnt even anything of the likes of big screen entertainment to watch, just reds fans chowing the fat and having a laugh, i know money is tight at the club but it would surely be in there interests to build a sizeable pub/club on there own land with big screens showing past barnsley games, if you build it they will come
