.............win the last 3 home games and we would be reight Nothing indicated that this wouldn't happen Its now 3 wins required in the last 4.................2 of those are away at Forest and Hudders Huge task now to stay in this division.............feeling very very down and out tonight.....................and it will be the first thing on my mind tomorrow morning
I still think two more wins would keep us up but it looked like we ran out of steam today and I don't know how damaging the loss today will be.
The sendings off and goal difference a bigger blow than the result. As a I said earlier I'd rather have one very poor performance that's going to focus the players minds than a few sub par ones. I'm not sure who now plays left back?
I agree 2 more wins should do it - the problem is we are knackered have lost several key players due to injuries and suspension and must be demoralied 4 great performances -then one bad one and we are back in the bottom 3 - hard to stomach To be honest I was worried we might lose today - we had won 2 home games that looked really difficuly - got 2 great away points aginst top teams and this was a game we would have expected to win - so I was expecting a 2-0 defeat or similar Only hope is that now I dont expect us to win against Derby - so us being Barnlsy who knows I might be pleasantly surprised
A win on Tuesday will revive the spirit. Obviously we need to go and get that win. Appeal the red cards and have them available. Have to take the risk
It does feel like that in this crazy division - it feels like trying to climb out of quicksand sometimes.
Looking at the table it's hard to believe how compacted it is. Incredible to think that had Wednesday won today they would have been 10th and 7 points off the play offs
Must be soul destroying though. Win after win doesn't move is forward. 1 defeat puts us right back in it
The damage wasn't done today it was done before January when we lost at home to Peterborough, Birmingham, Blackburn, Washday, etc. Just three more points from those games would make a big difference. Thanks Keef.
