    From the Mirror (OK so not the Racing post....)</p>

    Barnsley boss Simon Davey is fighting it out with Blackpool to sign Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam in a &pound;500,000 deal.</p>

    Adam (above) was left out of Rangers' Emirates Cup games so he could talk to Blackpool.</p>

    But Davey is hopeful of speaking with the 23-year-old today. And he expects to land Liverpool winger Adam Hammill on loan this week.</p>
