I have sat in the east stand upper for many years now. Not the best atmosphere i know but i prefer to sit higher up when watching a match as you get a more balanced view of whats happening, and the view from up there is very good. At away games i try to get as far back for the same reason. Yesterday we were front row. Wasn't overjoyed at the thought but at least we were next to the dugout/halfway line, so not too bad i presumed. Wrong For the first 15 minutes everytime we ventured into their half(not often i know) we saw nothing. This was due to a long stream of latecomers who all seemed to be using that entrance and congregating there to ask stewards where their seats were. Admittedly the idiotic seating system, rows in alphabetical order and seats in numerical order, clearly threw a lot of them and it took time to clear. One group of mature fans in particular caused a almighty scene. There seats had been taken by a group of younger fans(where the fighting broke out) but they were adament they wanted the exact seats they had paid for. 5 minutes later, were stewards, police, a fight and a few ejections occurred their seats were free for them. It was then they decided to go sit behind the nets instead. A load of trouble for nothing. Well done that group. The game. Crap wasn't it. Blackpool seemed more up for it. We could and possibly should already be out but we are not. If connor had taken one of them chances at the end, you would have bet your house on him to get at least one of them, we would already be through. Davies was MOM due to his saves keeping us in the tie. However since that one slipped under his body a few weeks ago he seems to be having a bit of a confidence issue with stuff straight at him. His kicking also leaves a lot to be desired. Still young though and a fantastic shot stopper. Long may he stay a red. As for the rest of them very poor. Seen him get a bit of stick on here from a few but personally i thought aidy white was best of a bad bunch, especially 2nd half. Always there to offer width and if he stays fit, for me he starts. Upto bree now in the few weeks yiadom is away to make sure he keeps his place. Adam Hammil. Frustration is there for everyone to see. Not having any where near the effect he had last season or his first time here. Needs to adapt his game if he his to make his mark in this league. The reaction when he came off was to put it politely very childish. Yes others could have gone off before him but adam didnt play well and not one player should have had any complaints if there number had gone up. Even number 21 deserved to go off Adam is clearly hurting but i wouldn't be surprised if his time at oakwell was up (really hope not) No idea why hecky didnt use his 3rd sub. We needed something different. Williams or even moncur should have been brought on. Personally i would have brought both on and left payne on the bench. To summarise, we were poor, should be out but we aren't and should go through in the replay, Hammil, needs to stop acting like a ****, people should sit in their own seats. Thanks for reading, not that anyone actually has
Agree with most of that, especially the being baffled at us not using a 3rd sub when we were crying out for something different. I thought White was pretty poor throughout though. That's not to say he was the only one who had an off day. MOTM Davies.
Yes because Mr Sarginson not one of the championship list of full time refs (still won't call them professional!)
Agree with most of that and we said same about hammill maybe his days are numbered now at oakwell I love hammill but no player is bigger than the team. Just hope he was frustrated with his self and not hecky.
Snap!! See my report where I make similar comments. I was literally in the seat against that tunnel wall so must have been close to where you were. It was absolutely appalling and some of the staff were completely oblivious to the fact that they were in the way.
