    He didn't say that.

    It went something like this:

    Paul Walker: "Shouldn't the manager be identifying the players he wants?"
    GS: "Exactly"
    PW: "So why are you offering players to the Manager?"
    GS: "Because it isn't happening the other way round"

    That's purely from my own recollection, though I'm pretty sure the last (and most telling) comment is verbatim.

    Maybe GS frustrated at AR's inactivity to halt at his club's free fall

    And thinks, right if he can't see that this team will not keep us in this division I'll be pro-active & suggest players to him. He may not want these players, but at least he'll know that I want an improvement & I'm not impressed with his blind afaith in some of these players.
