Muller - can't complain so far, improvement on Colgan and is still settling in. Werling - quality free kick. Like I said right at start of season, he's our Roberto Carlos. Souza and Nyatanga - both looking as composed as ever. Notice how teams get nowhere against us by punting long balls down the centre of the park. Kozluk - yesterday's only real let down I think. Second poor game in a row. Needs a swift kick up the arse else he'll get dropped when Hassell's fit Foster - absolute steal at 100k. Howie - ran himself all over the park again, should be full time captain Anderson - didn't do a great deal but what he does do he gets right, including the cross for Howie's goal. Great footwork but tends to run around looking a bit lost - OK it's his first match so when he's given time I think he'll get even better. Johnson - his first decent game for us this season, and even managed to last 90 minutes. MOTM for me. Odejayi - at least he had a go at goal for a change! Once he's got a few goals and a bit of confidence I think we'll be seeing a much better player but for the time being the way he gets stuck in and his ability to hold the ball up is excellent Ferenczi - right place right time for the goal, still gives away a few too many fouls Ricketts - not a bad performance from him, definitely think ti was right to drop him from a central midfield role as he's far better out wide Christensen - can't believe he didn't put the ball in the net in injury time, ran himself into the ground chasing the ball up front and after that I'd be tempted to give him a starting berth next to Odejayi I thought Mostto's pace would have been ideal yesterday, we had countless opportunities to crack their defence wide open and their keeper was incredibly slow, so it was sad to see him warming the bench for 90 minutes. Verdict - apart from the 10 mins where we lost the plot it was another sign that the team is improving and it will be interesting to see how they fare against Newcastle on Weds. I hope that a loss doesn't affect morale, as we could do with them being fired up for West Brom who definitely won't be putting 7 past us this year. Oh and it was good to see the crowd getting behind the team after Plymouth scored their second. Chuckled at Reid's comments in the programme - mate I'm sorry but you're just not good enough to warrant a starting place any longer - the other 3 centre backs are all above you in the pecking order so deal with it. And looking forward to Wednesday night, here's to Werling taking out Owen, Souza and Nyatanga soaking up every cross into the box, and Christensen darting through a knackered Toon defence in the 120th minute and burying the winner.
Kinell, i dreamed the same dream, after extra time Christensen scored the winner, it's a funny ol world, in it. Foster on that performance is a steal. NOTW put him and Howard in their team of the Championship, we have two players in, not bad eh!!
