Button - looked confident and competent for the most part Wiseman - best I've seen him, good running at their players Golbourne - made a few errors, but promising Foster - lack of pace was exposed in one hit & hope long ball that Ipswich squandered McNulty - at fault for goal, and passing was shocking at times. Seems to think he is Beckham at times Done - didn't see much of him Higginbottom - a real livewire, promising. Over hits his crosses by a mile though Smith - some poor passing, but picked up in 2nd half after being booted Dawson - a trier Cotterill - flashes of quality, but looking out for himself Gray - effort first half, nodded off in 2nd. No threat Davies - hit and miss. More involved back up top, but missed 1-on-1, and had a shot that went out for a throw in among better efforts Nouble - almost gave away a goal with poor pass. Felt sorry for him Overall, we were beaten by a better (albeit mediocre) team but had more than enough chances to win it. Not nearly as bad as some recent performances.
McNulty needs dropping, he's a f u cking liabilty. Thinks he's Franz Beckenbauer but defends like Frank Spencer.
You need to give folk a bit more info than that Goldbourne was absolutely terrible for 75 minutes. Poor decision making, lack of commitment, and ran absolutely ragged by the impressive Emmanuel Thomas. Smith - I think we should sign him up for next season if it's an option. Yes he hasn't caught the world alight, but the talent is there. Immense in the second half today and ran the show, eventually joined by Dawson 60 minutesnin. Higgingbottom only overhit one cross, and a shocker that was. But his other crosses were good and deserved better moment from the attacking players. We were extremely poor in the first half. Couldn't believe we hadn't conceded, but other than a mad two minute spell and the goal, we were the better team second half and definitely deserved a point. Oh, and I wouldn't say Davies missed a one on one as that was the best save I've seen at a live game for years. How he didn't break the keepers hand and the back of the net I'll never know.
