A sending off early in a game can often bring as may problems as benefits. It forces a side to drop deep (which Yeovil did) which can be frustrating. I think we dealt with that pretty well today. After a dismal first half I thought we passed the ball better, were unsurprisingly better in possession and patient enough to wait for the inevitable chances to materialise. Plenty to be positive about the newbies. Pearson arguably the pick of the bunch. Similar to Berry but seems to cover more ground and always looking for the ball. I've been demanding a target man since the opening day and although Waring wasn't perfect he did provide a target and gave us another option. Football hasn't changed that much that you can afford to play without a physical presence up top... It's still a prerequisite. Kiwomya also showed plenty of pace, attacking threat and linked the midfield and forward line really well. You can't help but like a player who's immediate instinct is to turn and run at the opposition. Digby had his best game, rewarded Danny for sticking with him. Holgate too after a couple of iffy moments versus boro looked years above his age. I think we've found a real gem there. So if we can ignore the first half and take the professionalism and positivity into next week there may be some better performances ahead.
