Am still travelling, and posting from my phone. Excuse any crap spelling etc. ------------------ If QPR are promotion favourites, we have nothing to fear. Hume is very busy and willing. Will pose a big threat. Moore looks like a liability - even slower than I had feared. We played some lovely stuff in midfield at times. Quick interplay and fast thinking. Still lame at attacking from corners. Steele could do nothing about either goal. He has carried on his impressive form from last season. Bit sick of people moaning at Hassell. He knows he isn't a midfielder, I'm sure. Other than that, a very noisy turnout. Good numbers, got behind us even when we went behind. Many of my pre-season worries have eased after today. An encouraging performance. Don't feel we deserved to lose.
Yes he was poor. I see the useless doom-mongers are out in force again, f*ckin half-wits all. How they can judge a game from a radio broadcast is totally beyond me. Moore is definately too slow for this division - I suspect he'll lose his place soon enough. Howard huffed and puffed alot and worked well at times. Devaney had a fine game as did El Hammy (the straight red was fair enough) Hume looked OK on one showing. Like a Tommy Wright but with a bit more nouse and everything else. Macken can play better than that Steele still gives me the jitters I like Bobby Hassell but putting him in mid-field is like sending an American GI into a Baghdad mosque, alone, wi no bullets. Generally looked a better team than last year and, even though it's not really possible to predict with any certainty we'll do OK. We are NOT relegation fodder. The Davey out snipes are so laughably ridiculous the authors should be ashamed. Come on TARN!
Boy EI Addio had me worried there first reading I thought it said Moore would lose his pace soon enough!!! Jeez he'd have been passed by any passing snail!
QPR will be nowhere near at the end of the season. Hume showed some great skill controlling things that others would not do, good touches and good goal. Moore did well, yes lacks pace so did mr Nyatanga who incidentally moore kept out of the derby premiership team. Set pieces agreed poor. First goal - offside, i need to see this tomorrow to confirm, 2 on ground 1 kicked it in and both off IMHO Hassell, has a tongue in his head, same as everyone else, if not comfortable why not say to his manager. We did not deserve to lose. Disappointed with late (forced) substitutions. Pictures to follow!
