Really don't need Bobby suspended on top of the current injury woes but nothing we can do about that. All the same it was pleasant to see that, with 9 realistic matchday squad contenders on the treatment table, we are still able to send a competitive team out with options on the bench. I am in doubt as to whether our first-choice eleven is actually strong enough for this year's championship, at least the strength we do have is present in depth. It's a long time since that's been the case. Great win today - though they put us through the ringer after the sending off - and great atmosphere from the meagre crowd. Alnwick and Cywka look like excellent acquisitions and even the much-maligned Daggers and Wiseman put a determined (albeit not error-free) shift in. We rode our luck at times but it's about time Lady Luck courted us with some favour and all in all a very pleasing win. Tough games to come though, with Blackpool, Blackburn and Brum all looming. We might be more glad of these three points by the end of the month even than we are now. All the same, if we can take this sort of spirit away from home then who knows? Onwards and upwards!
