and not only the Watford one to put together an argument of "The ticket prices make a difference" It would be interesting to see how many take up the £60/£50 offer as well.
But surely that is an invalid argument as well? As I feel the Doncaster and Leeds game's would be an attractive fixture regardless of the price. Okay we probably wouldn't get the crowd we got for the Leeds game last year but we'd get a swollen attendance figure none the less. I think the Blackpool game will be the biggest measure of how successful this scheme is, it's a fairly attractive fixture, yet not exactly a local derby, i'd love to see a 12,000 crowd for that one, however I still feel we'll just about manage the 10k mark.
People love Boxing Day football Don't they? Would expect 12,000 for that, ex prem team and an excuse to shout abuse at a Malteser?
Re: People love Boxing Day football Agreed Boxing day 10/11 Burnley (H) 14,219 (2738 away fans & 11,481 Barnsley fans) Boxing day 09/10 Boro (H) 18,001 (4446 away fans & 13,555 Barnsley fans) I wouldn't be surprised if we took 4,000 plus to Donny for the game at the Keepmoat for the bank holiday. We've sold out the allocation there 2 out of the 3 times and they have increased the away end this year from 3,300 to just over 4,000.
Re: People love Boxing Day football Oh yeah, I forgot it was boxing day, should be a decent crowd, IF enough people take the clubs offer.
