I thought it must be pretty poor defending from my view in the ESL but from the camera angle you just can't believe how bad it was! Not only does Brown back off and back off in his usual way to allow their player to play it to his right, but when it comes back and Brown has another chance to deal with it he just shrugs his shoulders and says "go on then, stick it in". It seems to be the modern way these days not to make a tackle unless you really really have to. Must be one of the chapters in the defenders coaching manual or something. But how bad does it look!! Reece Brown gets plenty of stick and much of it is justifed but he is a young player, presumably playing to instructions. Hard to believe that a professional footballer would deliberately let the opposition score, but that is how it looks for that third goal. Something fundamentally wrong, either with HIS head or our manager's coaching ideals. Be good to have defenders there who genuinely know how to tackle and are not afraid of getting one or two wrong. I'd rather Brown had dived in and missed it than watch him back pedalling all the time. PS Hourihane's pass for Cole - sublime. Cole's finish - also sublime. The rest of our missed chances? Infuriating, especially the ones that were tamely hit straight at the keeper.
Do these highlights appear on youtube for those of us who don't have player? I'm sure i've seen them on there before
