    1.... I think this week has proven to a lot of British people that football is not the be all and end all, and despite what the media would have us believe, there are lots of great sports out there to participate in and to spectate

    2.... The games were meant to inspire us to go out and do, I'm sorry it's doing the opposite, I've turned into the biggest couch potato ever, I can't stop watching it.

    Agree with all of that, the only thing that's getting on my nerves is why the BBC commentators won't just shut the **** up and let us watch the medal ceremonies with the stadium announcer and the athlete. Honestly, I don't need to be told that Jessica Ennis has worked hard for four years and deserves it - no sh*t Mr. Dickinson, think I'd kinda worked that one out myself, but I'd much rather just listen to the crowd building their acclaim prior to the medal being presented.
